Reusable Plastic Bottles

February 24, 2023

As a token to all the kids participating in our Carnival Event in Għaxaq on the 17th of February, the Southern Regional Council decided to give a usable token that can be reused.  After much thought, it was decided that this token would be a reusable bottle that can be used throughout their scholastic days.  Reusable plastic bottles are containers that can be used multiple times instead of being disposed of after a single use.  They are designed to be durable and long-lasting and they come in different shapes, sizes and colours.

Using reusable plastic bottles is a sustainable choice because it reduces the amount of plastic waste generated from single-use bottles.  By using reusable plastic bottles, you can help to reduce the number of plastic bottles that end up in landfills, oceans, and other natural environments.  It is important to note that some reusable plastic bottles may contain harmful chemicals such as BPA which can leach into the beverage stored in the bottle.

Additionally, it is important to clean and maintain your reusable plastic bottle properly to prevent the growth of bacteria or mould.  Regular cleaning with hot water and soap, and occasional deep cleaning with a solution of water and vinegar or baking soda, can help to keep your reusable plastic bottle safe and hygienic for repeated use.
