The Southern Regional Council will be benefiting from funds by Ambjent Malta through the Urban Greening scheme. The project proposed by the Regional Council includes a roof garden on top of its Administrative Building which will help to provide clean air to Qormi center. The garden will be accessible and open to the community during office hours. In addition to greening and open space for the public, the project also includes rainwater collection, restoration of an old well, automatic irrigation system and installation of solar panels for the regeneration of clean energy .
