The Southern Regional Council participated in various meetings with the Local Government Division together with the other five Regional Councils regarding the publication of the tender on the collection of household waste on a regional basis. An information session was also held with Local Councils within the region. The tender is currently published and interested contractors are invited to submit their offers.
